It's been a little over two years since Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux tied the knot. And for the first time ever, the 48 year old actress has opened up on the October issue of Harper's Bazaar about her nuptials and how her husband popped the question.
Amy Sedaris, a good friend of the couple, sat down with Aniston to chat about her performances in Office Christmas Party, the Horrible Bosses movies and the Office Space, along with a few other topics. During the chat, Sedaris revealed that Theroux asked her to be his 'best man' just days before the wedding took place.
"Everything about that wedding was perfect. Everyone was dressed like a bunch of woodland creatures, and your dress looked so beautiful and breezy," Sedaris, recalls. "Justin asked me to be his best man two days before, and I was really scared. Jimmy Kimmel [who officiated at the nuptials] said, 'Amy, you have one job: Just hand me the rings separately.' Of course, I handed both to him."
To which Aniston responded: "It’s funny, I just gave Justin our edited video of the wedding for our anniversary, and it was fun to revisit it."
Sedaris added that when Aniston and Theroux first began dating (back in 2011), she had no clue about Aniston, "but I was like, 'I can see it, Justin. You don’t have to tell me anything about her."
When Sedaris asked whether she wears nail polish a lot, Aniston recalled the time when her husband popped the question; and her hilarious reaction to it "When Justin proposed he put that freaking ring on my finger, and I was like, “Holy crap, now I’m gonna have to get manicures.”
The adorable celebrity pair became engaged during August 2012, and tied the knot at their Bel-Air estate (Los Angeles, California) on the 5th of August 2015.
