When I came across the Justice League trailer 4, I didn't waste any time clicking play to see what they were going to show us next. Maybe I was hoping to see a hint of dark superman (as rumours have been going around), but the new trailer showed us something quite familiar to it - as in Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) himself!
Kent stands in a field staring at the sunrise, at his childhood home in Smallville. Lois Lane wakes up, surprised and relieved to see him there, walks over to him. Kent sensing her presence says "I'll take that as a yes," and turns around when Lane asks "what?" to which he replies "the ring."
As excited as I was, and as cute as that moment was, it was only a part of Lois Lane's dream! (sigh). That was clever of Warner Bros to show Clark Kent without actually implying that he is alive, or that he is returning as Superman - leaving us wondering how he is going to make his return (which he obviously will).
The rest of the trailer showed us a lot more action scenes featuring our Justice League team, and a grand entrance of Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) as he drops onto the battelfied from a great hight, striking the ground with his weapon.
“I think it’s something more, something darker” says Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) to Diana Prince (Gal Gadot). While we are not quite sure what he is referring to, it could be a reference to Steppenwolf's mission to retrieve the three Mother Boxes from Earth.
The more trailers they release the more questions we have, and I guess we'll just have to wait till 17th November to find out! The one thing I am looking forward to is the return of Superman (more so how he will return actually). Is he going to be a darker version of himself as the rumours are saying? I can't wait!
The latest trailer of Justice League came out on Sunday (8th October), take a look at it below.
