Things have changed drastically. Yes! I mean travel as well.
Modern life offers people so many opportunities to travel and to genuinely go further, much further and more often than our parents and grandparents ever could. The change in travels such as Adventures, experiences and great nightlife is proven to be more significant for millennial travelers who are aged 18-34 compared to the people aged older.
What do we millennial travelers actually want?
A survey was conducted and looked at the millennial travelers, the Generation X travelers – (Those who are between 35 and 49 years of age) and the Baby Boomers – (Those who are between 50 and 67 years of age) who regularly travel either for leisure, pleasure or business and spend at least 5 nights per year staying in a hotel.
And it was found out that nearly twice as many people in the millennial group were interested in travelling for a generous cause as other age groups with 32% interested as opposed to the 18% of Generation X travelers and 17% of Baby Boomers sitting on a relaxing beach in a picturesque destination are considered as lesser importance for the millennial traveler – as they want more from their vacations instead of just lazing around.
The importance of travel experiences,
As a millennial myself, it is no surprise that the younger travelers are more interested in the excitement of an experience, with around 78% interested in thrilling trips, whilst only just 32% of these millennial travelers want to laze around.
The memories and thrills of the experiences are what’s becoming more important to these millennial travelers. However, going on a vacation could be a great expense for many young people, but if done right it’s worth every cent.
