Why do people actually travel? Don’t they feel homesick? To be more specific, what exactly are they running away from?
It’s true! We all have our own reasons that compel us to travel, whether it be the desire to travel, the urge to discover something new, the need to leave everything behind or just to meet new people and to forget the old.
Travel is an intermediary for people to overcome and deal with situations and to discover oneself. Travelling somewhere you haven’t been, where everything is brand new, and you start adapting to the surroundings. And I believe that is the main reason why people travel – to feel something new and for the change.
Moreover “Love” is the strongest and the most dominant feeling in the Dictionary and it is only just four letters stringed together.
The Great Escape?
Set out for long term travel, Travelling could be a way of escapism. Fall in love with places and not faces. Love yourself, treat yourself. Be someone who you want to be. Staying away from the place which is the cause of your misery is the first step of moving on, even better, tick off things on your bucket list.
Travelling would ease you, and gives you a second chance at life, it transforms you into someone new – someone better.
Somehow travel would teach you how to hold on to the little things in life, not people but memories. It gives you the opportunity to get to know and love yourself and prepares you for the upcoming future.
Something new is always awaiting for you – A new Challenge, A new partner, a friend, an adventure.
It awaits you. And as soon as you hit the road you’ll feel it.
