Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced that issuing of printed receipts for ATM withdrawals would be discontinued.
According to BML, the discontinuation would come into action starting from 8th November on wards, after which customers retreiving money from the ATMs would not receive a printed receipt. However, printed recepits will be availabel for customers depositing cash to the ATMs, using the transfer services, and transactions between companies and businesses.
BML states that majority of the customers are revewing details of their transactions via the BML mobile banking application. The bank highlighted that greater number of customers are registered for mobile phone notifcation service, which can be completed though a simple process at the ATMs.
Moreover, the Bank of Maldives also highlighted the inflation in number of customers using internet banking service, with 9 out of 10 transaction being conducted on the digital platform.
BML has brought on numerous changed to the internet banking service this year, with the inclusion of new and easy features that has received a positive response from customers.
