Well, we are still in shock!

The carpool episode that was taped less than a week before Chester Bennington’s death by suicide on July 20th; was shared by Linkin Park on Thursday. The episode was taped alongside actor Ken Jeong.

The episode, in which the band and the “Dr. Ken” star drive around and sing along to everything from Outkast’s “Hey Ya” to the rock band’s own “Numb,” is a spinoff of the popular bit from James Corden’s “Late Late Show.”

It was also noticed that Bennigton said while singing “In the End”,

“I forgot the words, I’m having so much fun! This is the best!”

Linkin park dedicated the video “to the memory of Chester” and they posted the episode for free on their Facebook page. They also noted at the beginning of the video that it is shared “with the blessing of Chester’s Family and his band mates.”

The decision of airing the episode was made by the family of Bennington, as mentioned by Corden.

“We consider it not our decision to make, we will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want.”
