Maryam Bint 'Imran (May Allah be pleased with her): The mother of 'Isa (Jesus) (peace be upon him), was a pious woman who miraculously gave birth to the prophet, without a father. Throughout her life, she was accused with committing adultery, and was chastised for bringing shame to the family name.  However, from the cradle, baby 'Isa spoke and absolved her of the claims. Maryam, the mother of 'Isa (A.S) devoted her life to worshiping Allah, Allah provided her with a child that protected her honour whilst he was still an infant.

Lo! The angels said: “O Maryam! Behold, Allah sends you the glad tiding, through a word from Him, [of a son] who shall become known as `Iesa Ibn Maryam, of great honour in this world and in the life to come, and [shall be] of those who are drawn near unto Allah. [3:45]

Khadija Bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her): During an era of ignorance, she was known as a Tahira (chaste and pure). She was intelligent and wise, remarkably wealthy and a successful business woman. She proposed marriage to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and became his wife at the age of 40, whilst he was a young man of 25 years. She became the first follower of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and a source of his strength. She stood by him when people rejected him, and always supported, sheltered and comforted him. Muslims regard her as "the mother of the believers."

Fatima Bint Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with her): She is the youngest child and daughter of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Khadija Bint Khuwaylid. She grew up watching her father being mistreated, rejected, insulted and humiliated by those who did not believe in him. She joined her father, and was his biggest supporter that always stood by his side throughout the struggles that her father faced in his noble journey. She is described as being 'leader of the women of Jannah.'

Asiya Bint Muzahim (may Allah be pleased with her): the wife of pharaoh, Asiya (RA) refused to abide to her husbands demand and declared that she will not reject her faith in Allah, she was tortured to death by the Pharaoh. However, instead of choosing to live and remain in her royal life, she sacrificed luxury and chose her faith in the almighty and faced death.

And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, “My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people.” Surah At Tahrim, Verse 11

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Among the women, the best ones to guide you are Maryam bint Imran, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatima bint Muhammad, and Asiya the wife of Pharaoh.” - Narrated by Anas (RA)

These 4 women are the best of women, not only in Islam but the history of the world. They reached the truest state of belief, and had strong spiritual personalities.

May Allah help us reach that level of Imaan. Aameen.
