BML and American Express announces joint marketing campaign

Bank of Maldives (BML) and America Express has announced a joint marketing campaign in order to promote Maldives as a leading destination in international platforms.

The destination marketing campaign under the name "Experience Maldives" was launched by Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer, in presence of CEO and Senior Vice President of American Express (AMEX) Manoj Adlakha, CEO and Managing Director of BML Andrew Healy, and Secretary General of Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) Ahmed Nazeer. 

The tourism marketing campain "Experience Maldives" has been endored by the Tourism Ministy and Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI).

A statement released by BML read  "Under the campaign, Maldives will be promoted internationally to American Express’s global network of clients. Over 20 resorts have announced their participation in the campaign and they will make available a number of attractive offers to encourage tourists to consider Maldives as their preferred holiday destination."

Commenting on the new international tourism campaign, Andrew healy stated that this initiative is important to promote Maldives to international travelers and establish the country as the number one destination amongst these tourists. He further thanked the Tourism Minister for the support personally given by him and said "we will continue to work with the Ministry of Tourism, MATI and other stakeholders to support the industry.”

Manoj Adlakha spoke regarding the campain as well. He said that Maldives has always remained as a favoured destination for travellers around the world. "The campaign represents our commitment to support our merchant base in the Maldives and the country’s economy as a whole.” He added. 

The launching ceremony was held on the evening of Tuesday (11th July) at Hotel Jen in Male' City.
