Maldives is probably the world’s hottest honeymoon destination. However if you know what needs to be done, you would not be far from getting the most out of Maldives.

Holidays begins like one of those James Bond movies, guests would be travelling via speedboats and seaplanes across the Indian Ocean to the little but perfect island resorts with flawless white shorelines and vibrant reefs.  Water villas, infinity pools, overwhelming spas. Just name it.

Well a thing or two may possibly go wrong.

Maldives, in general is made up of 1200 coral islands attached all together in a series of atolls just like beads embedded on a necklace in the middle of the Indian Ocean. It would not be an easy task to choose which resort to spend your honeymoon on. Maldives may be Paradise. But it also has a downside to it as well, and anyone who wants to spend a fortune on a trip should be aware of what they are getting in to.

This holiday could be ‘THE’ holiday – a once in a lifetime experience. Or even an extra expensive trip just done out of boredom.

Firstly, the Maldives does not do cities. If you’re looking for shopping, Night life or local interactions it is better if you make a quick stopover to Abu Dhabi or Dubai for the cultural buzz. Next is the Costs. There are Maldivian Resorts that are relatively affordable. But it could feel rather cheap compared to the luxury of the much expensive choices. So the best advice could be to spend a lot on a shorter luxurious stay. Temperatures are normally pretty consistent, however there are distinct seasons to look out for. Main Peak holiday time is December to February, with little to no rainfall humidity or even clouds. But the bright blue skies and the glimmering sunshine usually sets high prices. The best Value breaks are around May to November, with more rainfall comes low costs.
