Travelling is fun on its own, but it comes with its cons on health. Since you would be too busy enjoying, you would consider each day cheat day. Even if you were moving around, one activity after another, you might wonder how it’s effecting your health. What you don’t realize is, travelling could be a cause of weight gain or loss - Not in the healthy kind of way though.
After a tiring day, your first choice of food would be comfort food or junk food, and this is the main mistake you are making. And for most of you out there, travelling is the best excuse not to exercise.
Healthy life = energy.
Follow your wanderlust, but do take care of yourself as well.
Here are some ways you could take care of your health while travelling.
Water! Drink lots of water. And make sure you have your own reusable water bottle, travelling is tiring and you would get dehydrated often. So having a water bottle would save your day, and reduce the chances of a heatstroke.
Eat local food. The local’s diet would have all the necessary nutrients to keep you up on your feet. Make your schedule in a way, that you would be spending most of your time outdoors. You would be always occupied. And would keep in mind to treat yourself right.
When you’re travelling, you would want to explore every inch of the place. Which means you would be surrounded by a lot of people. However it’s always nice to have some alone time. Be alone, spend some time with yourself. Relax! Read a book or drink some tea.
Take full advantage travelling to give yourself a break and to rest.
While taking care of your body, don’t forget to take care of your mind as well.
