This is a side of travelling most people don’t talk about, or is not shared enough. Even though this is the case, many travelers tend to relate to the issue.
Even when you are surrounded by picturesque landscapes, people and culture, you still somehow feel like something is missing. And this is because of loneliness.
It’s when you want to be left alone, but at the same time crave for someone’s presence. Maybe you believe that you are a strong independent individual, and the weakness and loneliness you feel is invalid.
But if you are in that confusion, it’s time to get to know yourself better. While you travel you will be able to take on more challenges, something you would not be able to experience at home – and you learn more about yourself along the way.
Travelling is a beautiful gift, so try to take full advantage of every opportunity that is presented to you.
Here are some tips to beat the loneliness in you.
Express – talk to someone, share what’s bothering you. It’s always nice to have someone who listens to you, and get stuff off your chest so you can move forward.
Exercise – go for a simple walk, just get out of your house and push yourself. Get up and move, it will help you move forward.
Relax – The world is a cruel place, but if you look at it in a traveler’s perspective, it’s the most beautiful thing. You’re strong, and if life brings you down. Get up! Pick yourself back up and just Relax.
Spoil yourself – Yes! I mean lots of sugar, chocolate and pastries. Enjoy, and work off the calories later.
